TDE provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, lighting, telecom and sustainable engineering design services for the Yountville Community Center project. The Yountville Community Center project encompasses a town block located at 6516 Yount Street, in Yountville, CA. The development includes a new Town Square, new 10,000 sq. ft. Community Center Building, 2,200 sq. ft. of additions and interior renovations to the existing Community Hall, 400 sq. ft. and addition to the Post Office to accommodate the Napa Sheriff substation. In addition, renovations and improvements will be made to landscaping, public areas, parking, and on-site utilities.
TDE’s goal was to maximize the use of passive systems including natural daylighting and natural ventilation throughout the buildings. The development is envisioned as becoming a community gathering place and part of the social fabric of the town and the Town Council has voiced strong support for the incorporation of LEED and sustainable design principals in the project in order to emphasize the importance of sustainability to the community.
