TDE designed a complete new front-end electrical service
along with fire alarm, fire sprinkler and mechanical
ventilation system upgrades for the historical Bohemian
Club of San Francisco’s main club building located
at 624 Taylor Street, San Francisco.
Added complexity was realized on this project due to
the historical nature of the building. The building
received an upgrade from 800 amps to 2,000 amps to cater
for current and future anticipated electrical loads.
This upgrade was carried out in conjunction with PG&E,
the local utility provider, who ran a new service in
from the Taylor Street electrical vault to a new electrical
room housing the new switchgear.
The building also received a new, state-of-the-art,
$2.5 million AV system in the Jinks Theater and Main
Dining room areas. TDE provided all the Mechanical,
Electrical, and Plumbing support service upgrades that
were required to ensure a successful project. TDE is
currently working on upgrading the heating and Ventilation
systems along with the phased upgrade of all life safety
systems.
