Timmons Design Engineers provided Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Sustainable design for the 6,000 sq. ft. high-end nightclub located in the basement of the Hotel Fusion in the Union Square District of San Francisco, California. The Infusion Lounge consists of a full service bar and kitchen, dance floor, raised seating and dining area, VIP room and co-ed restrooms. Using an environmentally conscious approach, all mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems were designed to operate at variable load conditions to conserve energy and natural resources efficiently while providing a comfortable and cost effective solution for the client.
Mechanical systems used for the heating and cooling loads include a variable volume/demand ventilation control system, kitchen ventilation and restroom exhaust systems, a mechanical room exhaust system and building management systems. Electrical systems provided include power and distribution, as well as multi-level switching and occupancy sensors in order to reduce energy usage and comply with Title-24. Complete plumbing and fire protection systems were provided for the kitchen and bar area including all waste, vent, domestic water, plumbing fixtures, drains and hot water system.
