The Bohemian Club building was designed in the late
1920’s and built in 1933, with the façade
comprising of a brick and concrete structure. The interior
of the building is rich in historical and architectural
treasures with ornate finishes and moldings expressed
vividly throughout. There are five floors in the building
and additional mezzanine levels. The building contains
its own theater as well as a master dining room cartoon
room/bar, full kitchen on the lower levels and a mix
of bedrooms and administration offices on the third
and fourth floors.
A detailed master plan was put in place encompassing
all aspects of the building’s infrastructure.
Exhaustive interviews were held with each of the clubs
internal committees to ensure that all current and future
planned upgrades were incorporated into the master plan.
Due to the age of the building most of the existing
services are approaching their life expectancy and need
to be replaced. The master plan contained a ten-year
service upgrade plan that outlined immediate, short-term,
medium-term and long-term needs.
This service upgrade plan highlighted the budget needs
for the Club each year for the next 10-years.
