Retrofit of a four building office campus each comprising
of 14,000 sq ft of Class A office space totaling 76,000
sq ft. The buildings are tilt up wood frame construction
built in the early 1970’s. Four rooftop air conditioning
units (ACU) service the building and cool the space.
Heating is provided by electric radiant ceiling panels
at the perimeter. The project required the replacement
of the entire rooftop ACU system with a new, energy
efficient ACU system while maintaining the buildings
in operation. This presented a major logistical and
time challenge.
However, with their vast retrofit experience, TDE devised
a scheme that would minimize the disruption to the Pasha
Groups daily operations by replacing all 16 ACUs over
one weekend. The retrofit was completed in the spring
of 2003 and its success is attributed to a close team
effort by all involved parties. The buildings were restored
to full operation by the start of the new workweek with
no occupant discomfort issues to report.
