Associate Principal
Ray Keane is an Associate Principal and building services engineer who has practiced sustainable engineering for over 15 years. Ray strives to keep design simple believing that Creativity has to do more with the elimination of the inessential, than with the addition of something new.
Ray has been responsible for project management, systems design and engineering, construction administration and energy analysis on a broad variety of building types including corporate, commercial, institutional and residential. He has particular experience in underfloor air and displacement systems and has designed a number of offices, libraries and museums using these systems.
As a LEED accredited professional, Ray has acted as LEED consultant on multiple projects including a LEED platinum project in Arizona. Ray believes that Architects and Engineers have a joint responsibility to create a Carbon Neutral construction industry.
His experience covers both consulting and contracting which has endowed him with a practical vision of the design and construction process. Ray uses creative designs where appropriate, but believes that Innovation for the sake of Innovation does not serve clients interests.
