TDE provided Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Sustainable design
services for the Detailed Project Program (DPP) of the
building services upgrade for the University of California,
Riverside’s Culver Center of the Arts Project.
The current program requirements include the following
components: historic preservation of the existing building,
restoration of the sky-lit atrium, film and video screening
room, gallery space, media computer room, seminar room,
and faculty and graduate dance and art studios. In addition,
TDE’s work will include historic preservation,
seismic retrofit, ADA compliance, and life safety upgrades.
The new interactive arts space will include exhibition
and retail space, a film and video screening room, graduate
and faculty offices, and living accommodations and workspace
for visiting artists. In addition, the venue will be
used to host arts activities serving both the campus
and community.
