Timmons Design Engineers provided LEED™ Consultation and Documentation services for the nationwide corporation, Wells Fargo. Building over 100 new banks, Wells Fargo is pursuing LEED™ certification as part of the new LEED™ Volume Build Pilot Program. This template design will be used for hundreds of stores to be built across the US in various climate conditions. For all future branches, TDE will provide LEED™ documentation, daylighting analysis, MEP and envelope design support to the design teams and to meet the credits pursued.
To comply with energy efficiency requirements in multiple climate zones, TDE advised the MEP engineers and architects how to abide by the ASHRAE Advanced Energy Design Guide requirements. In warm climates, the buildings will minimize heat gain through the building envelope design, the use of cool roof technology, increased insulation, and high performance glazing.
In order to reach indoor environmental quality requirements, the buildings’ outdoor air delivery is intended to be monitored and controlled to exceed standard practices while the building is occupied. Indoor climate conditions are intended to be at optimal comfort levels for an office environment. The buildings’ interiors will utilize an open plan to maximize daylighting and views.
